Maxxis Creepy Crawlers?
« on: Oct 16, 2013, 08:05:35 PM »
Another tire question.

I have searched around some and most of the info I am finding on these tires is from several years ago. Just looking for some fresh input. I am curious how well do these tires flex on the rocks and how they hold up over time?

I am getting ready to retire a set of 35" BFG KM's and have been looking at the Maxxis Creepy's as the replacement.  Not too many 37" tires available for a 15" rim.

My 4runner is not driven very much and seems the only time I wheel it is at KOH, so the hammers is mainly what type of rocks they will see.

Thanks.
Mike.

a buddy has a very flex 8 ply tire made by cooper that holds up really well at swamp lake in the sierra nevadas, and another buddy has run goodyear MTR's.  He has a set of humvee wheels and tires (10 ply) and they aren't as flex as the coopers but the seem to work just as well.  Good luck!
