Strange driveline hangup
« on: Feb 08, 2005, 03:52:06 PM »
I just installed a new marlin l-52, and duel unltimate setup, all new parts. I was bolting in the driveshafts and when I turned them I noticed the drivetrain "hangs up"  it sorta catches something internally. I made sure that all the levers and such are in neutral but it still does it. Now to be fair I have yet to even drive the truck since im in the process of removing all the smog crap. Any ideas what that might be?  Like I said the ENTIRE drivetrian is new, the axles turn just fine.

 :headscratch:

well I have zero lift, I just got done pushing the truck back and forth in the driveway for a while (that was fun) and it went away, i think maybe one of the synchros or something in one of the gear boxes was not lined up, which might make sense since none of it has been used since I installed it. As soon as I get it running i will take it for a spin and see what breaks

Turns out it was my front driveshaft flange just barely hitting the front range off road skidplate..... a small file did the job
