clearancing housing for 4.7 gear
« on: Feb 02, 2012, 12:57:01 PM »
im installing marlins 4.7s into a t.case for my buddy iv clearanced the housing for the bigger 4.7 gear and spins without any issues, but its a really close fit i almost am not all that comfortable with it.  i dont want to grind to much away do the gears move at all under stress? (besides obviously spinning) they shouldnt as i would think the bearing with snapring would hold it fairly still. anyone ran into any problem were it wasnt clearanced enought after everything was put back together and had to tear back into it?

I just did my 4.7s and was thinking the same thing. There is maybe 1/16" gap on the bottom and I dont think itll hit.
