as far forward as possible, and rotated so the arm sitis level, not tilted, is how I do it. I cut out a little of the body mount, and it nds up sitting at the end of he frame. Yeh its the most pain in the ass part of a solid axle swap.

I use flat, just make sure when you rotate it, that you leave enough room for the nut to clear when sarm swings back and forth

Thats the little dog bone stabilizer bar your talking about I believe. As stated above just shove the box as far forward as you can fit. If your using stock front hanger with boomerang shackles you wont have to go quite as far. I used an aftermarket front hanger moved about 1 inch forward of stock so I had to move my box that much farther forward. Ended up cutting the core support and part of the body mount to get the butt of the box up far enough. I too run a drop pitman arm.

yeah it is. i might have to go with a 2in drop front hanger or something tho or make one. cuz those big 6 in shackles and the whole RUF put my pinion at a bad angle, its about pointing straight back

I do not have a good pinion angle by any means on mine but I like the way the steering and font end handle so I dont want to mess with caster. I may try to do a high pinion in the future but thats out of my price range for now. You could also run shorter shackles to get a little better pinion angle. I think I am running 4.5 or 5 inch if I remember right.

Its doable but a drop hanger will help your pinion angle if only a little and they are also stronger than the stock hanger so I would recommend building one or buying one if its in your budget. Lots of guys will run the stock hanger with a boomerang shackle and that seems to work fine. I think you may have clearance issues with the bodymounts if you try to run a straight shackle with the stock hanger placement although I cant verify that because I have not tried it or seen any pics of people that have.

Without the drop hanger it could ride rougher because of the angle the springs will be sitting at.   I did a 2"drop hanger and Boomerang shackles and it rides quite nice.

As for the steering box, You'll have to relocate it anyway so you might as well place it one time and do it right. With my drop hanger I moved my axle forward 3 inches (2 with the RUF and 1 with the positioning of the drop hanger)  I did the springs first and then the hanger and then the box.

My box didn't move that far forward and there was minimal trimming to the body for the fit of the box and it still has some angle to keep a good angle for the steering shaft from the column. I also used the 3/4" less drop Pitman Arm from Sky too. It all worked out nicely. Did I mention, mine is also daily driven?  :gap:  It's all pictured in detail in my build thread if you care to look.   Hope you get it figured out and get it out on the trail soon!  :usa: :beerchug:
