On the Marlin About page there is a pic of a third gen. Is that it?

Yes, that is the one. I know I've got a handful more pics from that event in Panamint Valley. That is my good friend Brandon driving.

It is a 3.0-liter V6 3rd gen body atop a 1984 frame, if I remember correctly. It used to be black, we knew the former owner well, and had Peak Performance, or Sun Performance stickers on it before we repainted it. Man that's thinking back a long time while I was a teenager (I'm still a teenager, just about 10 years older now :gap: )

I remember driving back home with Brandon, and we got pulled over in the rain in Trona, California for slowly running a red light. I told the officer how I didn't want to skid out in the rain and reminded him how I had slowed way down before entering the intersection. He gave me a warning. I believe that was the first time I got pulled over! ha ha :driving: :nonono:

I looked at every page and it's fun to see old pictures, and this shows the evolution of the Toyota ... awesome!
Too bad that many images are no longer displayed on the screen ....
But the pilot has not lost its charm...
