If you look on e-bay there is a lot of stuff Downey used to sell. I think the owner of Downey is now hocking his wares on e-bay. I just happened upon it surfing "Toyota Parts". Advance Adapter may also have some stuff. I know they used to have a booklet on doing the swap.

Heres the Downey Manual, you'll have to rotate and resize the pics.

I've heard that is the place to get their headers.

I have one that Advanced Adapters makes.  They had the bellhousing that lets you keep the toyota transmission. The only thing i had to find was a place to make my clutch disk.  I found a place in San Jose called Superior Clutch and they did a really nice job.  I really like my setup and i would go that route if i was going to do it all over again

Well for starters 3.4 is likely to get twice the miles outta it, also I've done both swaps and the 3.4 is like the vortec at 4000 Rpms they start to pull harder they love the higher Rpms I thought the 3.4 had more power plus no adapters you can use 3.0 trans or 3.4

It depends I payed 550 for my 3.4 it came with everything computer wiring all the components I have to buy oil pan with rear sump that 245.00 from sky manufacturing, convert crossover pipe to other side and I'm using a 1989 Toyota pickup that had a 3.0 so I pulled motor and it bolts right in too the factory 3.0 location you use 3.4 clutch fly wheel 3.0 shift fork and throw out bearing and only complicated part is wiring which there's allot of write ups about it to make it easy.. I may be into the motor swap a grand at the very most also there's no distributor to deal with and makes it simple under the hood

You can use a v6 trans or use Toyota 4 cylinder turbo trans using 3.0 v6 bell housing

You should be to stretch it over to it and thread it right to the high pressure line and return line should be simple connect to. 4 cylinder pump in tank will do the job or if your carb. You will just have to prolly have a line made cause carb. Trucks don't have a high pressure line or pump in tank

i have around $2000 for the 92 4.3 i did in my 4runner and thats a ca legal swap but i did notice that the average cost for just a 3.4 motor was 1200-1500 and you can get the entire 4.3 donor truck or blazer for around 500-1200 on craiglist it kinda depends on how much you want to spend and i kept my 884runner 5spd
88 4runner 92 cpi duals 37 radial rockers and 4.8 coming soon
