« on: Jan 03, 2005, 01:10:04 PM »
Which tranny is stronger/more durable/best :help: The bearings and input shafts are different lengths 95.5+ 1" longer. Are the bearings interchangable  :dunno:

bearings are the same, syncros are better on the newer version.

Are you saying I can use the shorter input shaft in place of the 7.5" 95.5+ inputshaft? A straight swap? I haven't pulled the input from my 1998 Taco R150F yet, I'm just going by what I've read and that is the two shafts have different OD bearings the 95.5+ having the smaller OD. This would mean the R150F housing for the 95.5+ would have a smaller opening machined in where the inputshaft bolts up to tranny case. If you are right all I need here is an input shaft from a 3.0L R150F.  :D
