looking at yotas
« on: Aug 21, 2011, 05:19:21 PM »
okay, so i've been searching out the perfect one. i really want to build one stock to mod. i just feel better knowing what's been done to it.
i really like the 1st gens. but, i'm not opposed to the later ones. one thing i am certain i will do is to put a flatbed on the yota. can anyone post a link to some flatbed conversions? i definately want to put one on whatever truck i settle on. thanks.

This link http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=33555.0;highlight=flatbedhas a lot of pics.

A search for "flatbed", should give you plenty of posts to look through.

If you are considering all gens, here is my '91 w/what I call a safari bed.

'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.

nice. thanks for the response. i've wheeled around the tahoe area for years. the flatbeds are the way to go imho. the bodies get rusted pretty well.
i've owned several wheelers, and fighting the rust is a loosing battle. the cabs are easier to deal with. nice ride.
