Put me down for a 95% "gonna be there"; got to finish a buncha other projects and tighten up my truck. Last time out I moved the front axle backa tad...  :hammer:  and the alternator is still not working but I am just ignoring that for now; just like the past few months.

Probably won't make it tomorrow but Saturday is in the works. Got to tighten up my truck a bit tomorrow. PMd you my address in case you have to do some wrenching or welding.

also how about time and distance from I25 exit 138?

From Circle Drive go west towards the Broadmoor/Cheyenne Mtn Zoo; Circle turns into Lake Ave (don't ask me why)
Drive straight west into the Broadmoor (huge fancy-pants hotel) and head left around the last roundabout/traffic circle which is right in front of the hotel.
I think that's Mirada Rd ? but it'll take you past/through the golf course and will come to a stop at Cheyenne Road (for the Zoo)
Go straight ahead; it winds through some fancy houses and is pretty steep so you'll be in first gear for a while
There's a really sharp right-hand hairpin where the pavement ends and that's where people usually air down; the dirt road sucks 'cause it's 900% washboard. I've found that running 10 psi helps soften the ride.
From there it's about 16 miles to the turnoff for the trailhead
There'll be a big-ass puddle on the right, go through it (it's more wide than deep) and follow the trail through some trees and into a meadow. There's a few big rocks just after the trees if you want to roll your truck like Matt did (eight hours after he got it... ha ha ha)
Take the trail to the far edge of the meadow; there should be a forest service trail marker (thin brown sign) with a million bullet holes that'll take you to Eagle Rock. The trail goes back into the trees and there's a stream crossing and a small uphill rock section right after the sign... from there it's just up and up and up!

Here is a pic of the trailhead, right off of Old Stage Rd (it's only a couple weeks old so it shouldn't look too different). This is from being parked on the other side of the water. I was trying to get a picture of someone "guiding" a Jeep over the "massive" 1/2 foot deep puddle, we were all in such giggling fits, I couldn't make it anymore obvious and stand in front to take a pic.

Also, there are 3 trailhead markers in the meadow. The first one off to the left is 370D (Saran Wrap) the 2nd on the left is 370B (Don't know the name, we call it Chicken Bake Death Trail) and the 3rd which is straight ahead when you hit the meadow is 370C (Eagle Rock).

Here is a picture right as it opens up into the meadow, again this is looking backwards. The rig all the way to the right is QuickDraw's (Doris) and he is right in front of Saran Wrap. They have just closed off a huge mud area so if you see the pink streamers and wire fence, you are in the correct area.

We got to the trail around noon-ish; didn't see you guys (or anyone) around. Ran Eagle Rock behind/in front of some sweet full-size Land Cruisers; one was turbo'd and sounded like a diesel. I don't think anyone was locked in the front so that was a little entertaining to watch. We ended up just cruising the trails the rest of the day; I didn't want to get stuck alone. When I switched out my batteries I forgot to hook up the main power wire to the fuse box and spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out why I wasn't getting power anywhere. Yeah, that was a blonde moment for sure...  :shake:

We'll catch you guys next time...

Bahahaha! I forgot about that!  And the fact that there were like 10 rigs or so watching...priceless.

Yet more pics of Eagle Rock... We really need to get modivated to gtfo Old Stage more often. :)

Dan pointing the way to the beginning of Old Stage

Fun little cut off on Old Stage, very flexorific spot. Take about 1-1-1/2 miles off of going up Old Stage.

Good camping spots along the water. Another way up to Mt Baldy and Capt Jack's walking trail.

Pre-entrance to Eagle Rock

Trailmarker to Eagle Rock

Saran Wrap

Eagle Rock marker

Coming up on the 2nd turn of Eagle Rock

Dry creek crossing on Eagle Rock trail

The "T" at the end of Eagle Rock

We were talking about doing the trail with "Little Moab" on it, which is outside of Woodland Park on the way to Deckers. Would that be to far out of the way?

Im down in La Veta thats so everything is out of my way lol... my wife is 33wks pregnant and that last trip was kind of a last time for a long distance trip for us so if I do any more wheeling it would have to be closer to home atleast til next spring/summer and because of $$$ I might even have to sell my dual cases/highsteer to get some money if I cant find work for the winter
