Topic: Rust Problem

   OK Folks here are the pics of the rust on my new 4runner...

The frame I can handle myself, but I'm taking options on the body work..I don't need it to be show room pretty, but I have to get the rust out of the panels and seal it up...Theres alot of salt here in the winter, and mud and water in the summer.







 I was thinking about doing the Maaco thing and have it done in Aradelphia  before I bring it home to Canada.

Looks like all of em do here in minnesota, costs to much to fix. drive till it falls apart and find another

  Ya I've seen them up there.

But here that can get you pulled off the road.

The frame like I said is some thing I can fix myself.

The body needs to be fixed and sealed.

Almost looks like somebody already did some bondo action.

I wonder how this would work for preventing rust. Use a zinc anode. They are used on boats do to the water/salt water acting like a electrolite and creating corrosion

  I could put a couple on the frame after I clean it up, but I need to fix the body holes...that one looks like it goes in to the cab just behind the front passenger seat. Or least it will very soon.

Ya try it, i was actually thinking of doing it myself.
