what do you think???
« on: Nov 11, 2009, 08:07:29 PM »
1) I jus swapped a 22r out of a 1983 into my baby that is a 1980. When i did the swap afew people that i talked to told me i have to wire the 20r altanader for some reason. I listened to them and did it and now my batts not keepin a charge. Was i wrong to listen to them? I think i am but am unsure.
2) Because of the swap ive got a good 20r head and have been told i can get more power out the truck by swappin the heads but is it enough to really mater and make it worth my time and work?

it (20R head on 22R block) does make a good bit more power, but if your engine is running fine just hang on to the 20R head for later on down the road when maybe you blow a headgasket

and you should have kept the alternator that matched the 80 truck wiring
