:dunno:I have an 85 4runner with aftermarket, "early style" warn hubs. I tried to install some aisin type yota hubs and the axle shafts are like an eighth of an in larger than yota axles

? any thoughts guys.

Are you sure the hubs you have are from a solid axle and not from an IFS. They are different.

I remember reading that the 79-80 hubs were different than the 81 on up.

You can use IFS hubs, just have to get Longfields hub gears.
