starting problems

93 22re 4x4 after the mortor  warms up  when i go to start it, its like the choke is stuck  .i knows its fuel injected but it acts werid . but not evertime sometimes it might start just fine an the next time it will blup blup blup an i will try to feed it gas  an it will miss for a minute  or two an smooth out an run fine i give it no gas when trying to start it only after it starts  ive put a new fuel filter  it starts fine when cold   was wondering if the fuel pump was going bad ?

You might check the cold start injector.
