Older toyota find

I met a guy and he had a 1977 toyota pickup long bed sr5 5 speed it has been sitting for a while now he just used it for the past 4 years for just the dump etc....hes wanting to sell it to me for $500 its been in the beach area ya theres rust offcorse but it runs great 20r only like 6k on new clutch its even got disk breaks up front lol 2wd but i wanted to ask u guys and get some advice before gettin it thanks guys.!    :driving:

If the rust isn't a structural issue, $500 isn't bad at all for a work truck.  I see clean ones of that era still going for $1-2k.
'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.

i bought my 73 for $500 it was just a 86 frame with a 73 body resting on 2x4s

I had a 77 I got for $800 was bone stock and I was the 3rd owner, i abused the hell out of that truck and the only REAL problem I ever had was the fuel pump went out on me. I put many freeway miles on that truck with the 3 speed auto between Boise, Id and ontario, Or. It was a good lil truck but I got tired of the slammed 2wd so I sold it and got my 83 4x4
