He wants something with a lift, less than 120,000 miles on it
Is he crazy? 120,000 miles is nothing for a toy, 150,000 is nothing for a toy. Hell, my 91 has over 200,000 on the stock engine and still has high 190 psi compression with all cylinders within 3 lbs of each other. Getting that specific with that low of mileage for a toyota is going to be pigeon holing him and really limiting his search!
Ya i know 120,000 miles is nothing, but i just want to get him something that we are going to have to work on everyday b/c of the miles the truck has on it. But i guess i could look for something with a little more miles. Ok so ill say anything with 200,000 miles or less. SO now could you guys keep an eye out for me let me know.
there is a low miles 854unner stock with no rust at ironically enough the jeep dealership in Reno nevada they want 2995 and its white
So im looking for a toyota truck or 4-runner for my son. This will be his first truck. Im looking for something less than $4500, lift, in good shape, and can be used as a DD. I dont want more than 150,000 miles on the motor. Im located in colorado. And i was just wondering if you guys could keep an eye out for me and help me find something. ThanksChad
Yeah i saw it 4days ago off of south virgina by circuit city
If you go for the first one (looks way too nice for me, I would be afraid I would trash it) ask if it had the head gasket recall done.
Why do i need to ask that? Lol, well i'm kind of looking for a nice rigs, then i can trash it out. lol
And what do you think about the millage, only 150,000, thats not to bad, it still has alot of life in.
3.0 = BLOWN HEADGASKETS. There was a recall done for it, and if it has not had the recall done, I would be a little iffy. They tend to blow headgaskets a lot, like ever 20,000 miles (a kid I know has one in his 89 4runner and regrets it all the time). Plus the engine bays are a little cramped, well at least the 2nd gen ones are, I am not too sure on the 3rd gen engine bays.O ok, ya ill ask him when i call him tomorow. The truck may have a lot of life, but does the 3.0? Thats the real question. Personally I would just go for the 4 cyl one.
