New Guy From MN
« on: Dec 28, 2008, 04:39:12 PM »
Hey guys my name is Will and I just bought my first Yota.

SAS'd 89 extended cab 5 speed with 4.10s and 37s.  I got a good deal on it and it seems like a good start.  Also, something very rare up here, its rust free!

I've been a quiet member on pirate for a couple years now but I usually do more reading than posting.  I'm pumped to finally be a member of the toyota community and a member on the marlin board. :beerchug:

:welcome: II  :turtle: that rust free issue won't last long if you are driving it there. When I moved to WI I brought a pristine 70 Pontiac Formula 455 with me, once I realized what was going to happen to that virgin sheet metal I sold it to a guy in Texas.

I got the truck like that yesterday.  It has alot of new parts and hopefully we'll have the body lift out, new springs, gears, lockers, dual tcases, and sliders/bumpers by the memorial day run at dresser.

All suggestions would be appreciated  :)

yeah sliders are definitely on the list for this spring.  i'm not a big fan of nerf bars.  i'm not sure what the plans are for the front axle yet.  we're still coming up with build ideas.

Don't worry, they're not.  I would not have driven it the 200+ mile trip home if they were.  The suspension setup on there is kindve :pokinit: ty anyway, though, and is getting changed this spring.
