I had a bunch of pre-made tabs with 1/4-20 tapped holes that I welded to the bars. The fender still has all of the factory bolts under the hood, so I just used a few tabs to attach it to the cage.

My buddy Clint got some new 39.5"s for his buggy that he's building, so I just had to see what a new set looked like on my truck.

 :bling:

Had to make sure I could clear a new set, so we flexed it up in the ditch.

Porkchop,   Windrock was fun but WAY to dusty. Needed to rain. I only got to ride one day. Somemthing came up and we had to leave early. I doubt I'll get to go back this year, I'm working 6 days a week. Thanks for the invite though.

Welder,  I don't have any real good pics of the trac bar. Here's one from the front.

Here's one of my trac bar I had on my '89. Same design, smaller tube and tractor link joints. It is 1" sch40 pipe with 1"  solid bar on the inside.

Thanks, nice design I really like that simple and out of the way. How did you mount the other end.

Rebuilt the motor and got a new set of 38.5"x14.50" SX's. Thought I'd share some pics. Disregard the date on the pics. I forgot to set it on my camera.

Just a general rebuild. Bored .020 over, valve job, etc. Nothing fancy.

Going back in.

New SX's grooved and ready to go.

I'm a machinist. I built the dash plate on a cnc mill. It's engraved not stamped.

Thanks for all the comments.

I wish I had built a bunch of them when I was set up on that one. I now have four 1st gens and they all could use a dash plate. Maybe one day I'll get time to build some more.

Well if you ever decide to make more of those I bet you a lot of people on here (myself included) would be interested in purchasing them.

Our machines at work are swamped. No way I can get in a home project right now. If I had enough interest I have a buddy who owns a shop. I might could work out a deal with him to let me use one of his CNC mills one night to build some. I could probably sell these for Around $25 plus shipping. If you would be interested in buying one for that price PM me. If I can get about 10 or so people interested in buying these I'll set up and build some for sure.

Man, I really like your tube work. And that rear trac bar has my gears spinnin'. Looks good! Stance is wicked, too. Slung low and on big tires. Love it!

For those of you interested in my traction bar design, here's a few pics of the one I just built on my '84.
I used the bushing from the stock front torque arm for the two rear bushings. The front is a tractor hiem. 1.25 sch 40 with 1" sch 40 as the slip.

I added a grease zerk to lubricate the slip joint.
