Depends on the header manufacturer.  LC's will.

what year 22r did the header come off of?

the 84 and earlier were round port and the 85+ were pear ports, identical to the 22re

then you cant use it on your 22re and keep the egr system

be aware, it is possible to remove the system, but if you live in CA or other places that emission test, you will not pass

you could potentially drill holes and tap threads in the flange for the injection tubes, and then jsut use a gasket from the pear port exhuasts

measure twice, drill once.. you are also going to need to tap the holes.... i wouldnt screw with modding it..... but if you want to...... i would sell it and buy what i wanted..... good luck

my truck has an egr and those holes at the top are blocked off. I'm guessing i don't have the same emmissions system as you guys. i always thought those tubes were for hot air injection or somthing crazy like that. I'll check my fsm

my truck is an '85 w/ 22re

edit. the fsm shows that those pipes are not part of my egr system, I had them on an '84 truck I had for parts. my dads 86 had those holes blocked off with block off plates and my '89 parts truck dosen't even have the holes for it on the manifold. not sure what the tubes do though couldn't find any info.
