Are you running the sensor that is on the high pressure ps line? Even so it would not raise the idle that high.
Did you let the engine get to operating temp? If you did my guess is the iac.
I am not running the factory pump or hoses. I am running a TC pump from psc for my ram assist with custom lines from the pump to the box. So i just have the plug for the power steering zip tie'd out of the way.

As long as that wire is not grounded it will not change the idle.

So did you let it get to operating temp??

Yea i let it warm to operating temp and went to pull it on the trailer and the rpms's went to 1500-1600 once i put it in gear and drove it onto the trailer trhen it stated at like 1500-1600. Then again i dont have the evap stuff hooked up on my truck but everyone said it will run fine it will hust throw the cel on. :dunno:

The evap system won't cause it to run a high idle.

Well, i cleaned the Idle speed control valve and throttle body with 3 cans of non-chlorinated brake cleaner and it didn't do anything it is still hovering at 1100-1200 rpms. Should i swap out the temp sensor or thermostat? My gauge is showing its getting up to normal operating temperature but maybe my gauge is wrong.

The sensor on back of the head is the one for the ecm. Is there anyway for you to look at the engine datalist? Try this take a jumper wire and jump the temp sensor connector and see how it runs then. The wire will short out the circuit and make the ecm think it's running hot and bring the idle down.

I am not sure how you went about cleaning your idle control valve.  I am two hours away from my truck and it has been a couple years since I put the motor in so forgive my memory.  If I remember correctly the idle control valve attached to the bottom of the throttle body.  There was a black plastic sensor thing that had a couple wires coming out of it and a connector.  I had to remove the throttle body to gain access to the bottom of it to remove the idle control valve.  Once removed I took off the black plastic thing and tried to rotate the valve but it was stuck.  A pair of pliers helped me free it up.  I then cleaned it and it rotated easily.  Put it all back together and left the black plastic thing off so I could control the valve manually.  Opening the valve caused it to suck more air and idle up and closing it caused less sucking and idle down.  Put the plastic thing back on and it idle right down after warming up and the air sucking noise went away.  Are you throwing any codes mine did not throw any codes.  Good luck

Strangely it is not throwing any codes. I pulled the throttle body then pulled the IAC and cleaned it best i could with brake cleaner. I did not pull the black plastic part with the plug off the aluminum housing since i didn't have the needed tool to remove the screws. I finally took it for a spin around the neighborhood and after running it pretty hard the idle came down but it came down to like 500rpm. But it didn't run rough or sound like it was going to die when it was idling that low.
