Topic: Smog Issue

I've got an 80' p/u with the 20r and 22r hybrid and i'm trying to get it smogged.  And could use some help with making sure it will pass.  However i have a header and was told that it was an illegal header, but it is also a nevada vehicle and im in california but i've been told that the smog is a federal smog even though im in california.  Anyway im wondering if anyone has had theirs smogged?  Because i'm being told that i need to replace everything with all 20r parts.  Any help would be great.

It actually depends on the smog sticker if it is a federal sticker you will be smogged at the fed level, if it is a California Emissions it will be smogged at that level. Even if it is a Fed all equipment must be legal including the header.

I have the federal sticker, but i was told by a smog place that my header was illegal because there were no air ports on it.  however the guy i bought the truck from said it smogged with the header on it so im starting to get a little confused.  and the smog place said it should be all 20r components and not mixed the way it is.
