     Just checking in.....   new on the board here......


85 toy pick up   22r   
Downey 3 inch front springs
Downey 2 inch rear springs w/ cantilever shackle
Lockright in rear axle
33/10.50r15 BFG At's
Stock engine, trans 136k miles
Bobbed bed (- 13 inches)

what is a cantilever shackle? how do you like those springs? stock steering? or hysteer? dropped draglink?

 basically open up as the axle drops it is on downeys website looks like this closed > but when open extend to let the axle droop like this l.........   I have had the springs on for more than two years now and have wheeled all of big bear, desert in anza and have only had minimal settling- For the price I fell they are a great value. Stock steering set up- w/no power steering

A drop shackle.

Stock steering set up- w/no power steering
I have a power steering set up if your interested.

Looks good.  I like the bob.  I just got me an 84 longbed yesterday and I'm planning a similar build on it.
