Feeler: '83 Trail Rig
« on: Apr 21, 2009, 05:20:36 PM »
I'm trying to move across the state and start a new job, so it may be time to part ways with my current trail rig. I have a lot of time and money invested in this truck and really don't want to see it go, but sometimes you don't have much choice.  It's only been on one trail ride since I've done all the new suspension/steering.  I don't have to sell... It would just make things a lot easier if I did. Located in Bismarck, AR.  $5000

The Good:
'83 Toyota Longbed
carb'd 22r and L52 5speed tranny
5.29s
welded rear diff
lockright in front diff
4.7 Marlin transfer case gears
fully armored/trussed front axle
Custom front bumper w/ ramsey 9k winch
36x12.50 grooved TSLs on Beadlocks
IFS rear axle (3" wider)
1.5" wheel spacers in front
Rear springs up front (moved axle 2" forward)
Square front driveshaft
Knuckles rebuilt in the last 10 miles (one trail ride  )
Dovetailed flatbed
Bedliner paint job
Honda Prelude Bucket Seats
CB radio, toolbox, hilift, and all my spare 1st gen parts included

The not so good:
It needs shocks (shock hoops are already welded on)
AAL in rear.  I have some ranger springs I was gonna install that will come with it.
I need to put the front bumper back on.
Floor boards are rusty.  They could be repaired, but I never bothered since it was just a trail rig.

Slightly older pics.

It's just an option right now.  I really can't justify keeping it when I'm having to borrow money from the inlaws to pay the bills.  If it doesn't sell, I've got some other stuff I can get rid of.  Even if it does sell, it doesn't mean I can't wheel.  I've still got the taco.
