Thanks Guys. I am from Leonville, Louisiana. It is located near Lafayette, LA. It was my Daily driver up until right before is did the SAS. I have owned the truck since November of 2002 and it was my first truck. For some odd reason it is still running after a few issues with deep water, and 2 wrecks. Fixed her up and decided to make a wheeler out of her. It is a little tall for my liking but it hasnent felt tippy as of yet so i will not lower it until i feel i have to.
I am torn on which rout to go dual's. I really think the most logical solution would be to use the MC10-r10 adapter and my current case. After my first wheeling trip i did realize i need lower gearing other than 2.57:1.
Future plans are to upgrade to a Detroit Front locker and Hydraulic assist steering. Once that is done i think i will be able to take her wherever i want to go

Yes it is a big truck. It needs love. The hanger bearing on the rear 2 peice shaft is shot. It is the stock bearing with 212k miles on it and about 2 years of being lifted. The rear output t case seal is leaking slowly. I will redo my shafts when i go to duals. Otherwise i dont drive it much.
Last night i was bored and cleaned out all of my air intake that had an oil gel from the POS K&N filter i have in it. Also cleaned the throttle body as best as i could.

When the dual cases are installed i will take the Cv that is on the middle shaft and retube that section to make a one peice to have a CV at the t case, and splines at the bottom.

EDIT: my truck is a 1989. New paint due to wrecks. Here is what it looked like when i first bought it. Kinda small hahah

There is one place that you can legally wheel trails that is open to the public in LA. It is located in Sicily Island, LA. Other than that we have a few mudholes. To wheel trails gotta travel to Texas or Arkansas for fun stuff.
