Topic: Which Transmission for a 95 T100?

I am looking at a 95 T100 ext. cab with a bad auto tranny and the 3.4 V6.  Which toyota transmissions will work for this and what vehicles can they be sourced from?  New to 6cyl/autos but not to toyotas.  I would appreciate any help you could give.

That is a A340E, 93-95 T-100 and 95-98 Taco will have these.

I have been told by local wrecking yards that only the 95-98 T100 tranny will work.  If this is false I would be very happy, I want to be sure before I spend the money on this truck.

Wich side is your front driveline on.

I will look at the truck tomorrow.  Which side is bad?  Is that just a transfer case issue?  Can the Transfer case be mated to another transmission easily?

t-100 trucks have 2 different trans in them.

It has the front driveline on the passenger side.  What about a manual conversion?  I would much rather have a 5spd, is this a possibility for a reasonable amount of money?

Thats the same one i have tacoma's have drivers drop.Don't know how hard manual swap is might want to just rebuild it.
