Good Movies
« on: Oct 09, 2005, 04:48:55 PM »
I dunno if this has ever been a thread but I think its a good idea. I like movies and think it be a good idea for people to post up what movie they have recently seen and put in a short review about what they did/didnt like. It can be a new movie that just came out or a classic...lets here about them.

Took the wife to see "Two for the Money" on Friday.  Thats the new one with Al Pacino and Matthew McConahey (Sp?)  about sports betting.  Good Flick.

I saw "A Series of Unfortunate Events" last week with my boys.  It's an ancient movie, but it was pretty good :yesnod:

I want to see Jarhead when it comes out. Finally a decent movie about the gulf war. Vietnam and WWII are played way out. I just hope it is as good as it looks.

My favorite movies, two classics, can't get enough of watching them:

Pulp Fiction ("You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy? I ain't through with you by a damn sight. I'ma get medieval on your ass ") The brains scene in the car. Could not stop laughing!

Natural Born Killers ("Mickey and Mallory know the difference between right and wrong; they just don't give a damn.") The rattle snake desert scene! Crazy.

hmm...looks like I have a Quentin Tarantino theme going on here.

I know this is an old thread, but I searched and found it -- don't need a new thread

I have not had much time at all to watch movies much (since last summer), but I was sick  yesterday and stayed home. I watched Blood Diamond with Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou. It was really a great movie in my opinion. I enjoy movies that educate me about the world (as I want to travel around the world someday).

And one thing I like, is I have not watched many DiCaprio movies. I remember him in Titanic and Romeo and Juliet and I remember thinking he was "just another soft chick actor". Then I watch movies like The Departed (which was awesome) and now Blood Diamond, and I really think he is a genuinely good actor.

Anyways, just thought I would share :beerchug: Go watch Blood Diamond if you have not, its a good motion picture!

Can't go wrong with Pirates of the Carribean... at least the first one...

Also, anything with Jackie Chan, Will Smith or Eddie Murphy... yeah, I like to laugh :gap:
