Well, I survived the 129 mph windstorm!!
« on: Dec 06, 2007, 02:25:26 PM »
Well, I'm back from the storm.  We got hurricane force winds, which were officially measured at 129 mph.  It was rough.  It took me 2 hours to get 2 miles home the other night.  Luckily I had my 046 Stihl in the toolbox with a 36" bar.  I cut alot of trees just to get home!  Then there was the two days of making cheese!  That sucked, I've never put in soo many hours at work in just 2 days!  Paycheck should be good!  And let's talk about all the water I  hauled around in my truck with only 250 miles on the new motor, and the clutch!  I had over 200 gallons of water in 5 gallon jugs several times.  Trying to make sure that people had some water!  So, hopefully my clutch and motor should be fine, since it isn't even broke in yet!  We have some pics!

Here's the tree that was across my step mom's driveway!

And some other pics, the church was over 100 years old, and it was in the center of the 129 mph force

Here is a clip of the winds on Monday!  And this was only 80 mph winds!

There is alot more destruction, but this was just from our neighborhood!

Second one from the left!  The little one is my trail saw, (pro 029) the other stihl is a half breed, it says pro 050 on it, and it can be quit shocking to run it, especially trying to shut it off!  :shocking:  The kill switch is not grounded out right.  And the red one is the dinosaur homelite!  This thing will put some forearms on ya!  My 046 was free, from a family friend that is a faller.  It's got three rebuilds on it and it cuts like a hot knife through butter!
