92 pickup ext cab auto-trans problem
« on: Oct 29, 2007, 06:55:03 PM »
I have a problem when my truck starts up on a cold day only. It kind of locks up but still rolls but it will not shift up. The RPMs will be about 4000 and I think it is in 2nd. What might be the prob?

Tranny needs to warm up it sounds like it's really cold blooded try letting it warm up longer.

might be time to change the fluid as well.  ATF deteriorates over time, and it'll show in the transmission's preformance.
