My Bronco and the Toyota
« on: Oct 14, 2007, 05:59:26 PM »
Ok, the Bronco is a '69 Halfcab. It has a 351W, NP435 4 speed, Dana 20, Dana 44 front, 9 Inch rear with spool, JD 2.5" lift, 33" all terrains.

Check out the mad flex

Just Chillin'

Now for the Toyota. Its a 1980, longbed pickup, Stock Toy axles, 3" lift (Dont know what brand) and a 3" body lift (Getting taken out) Roller 27" tires, She is REALLY straight, little bit of rust.

Then with my bro's 35's rolled up next to it.

And enjoy... :driving:

Well, I am trying to decide what one is going to be the wheeler and what one is gonna be the DD. The bronco gets 10 mpg and the toyota should get 15 or so mpg. But parts and support on the toyota is crazy good. Both are gonna be "resto-ed". I am leaning towards the Bronco as the wheeler cause of Tom Boyd's bronco in the ultimate adventure. But Marlin's red toy is freaking amazing. So, both I guess.   :willynilly:

wheel the yoat.  You can pull a toy with a bronco, but it's a little tuff the other way around.

No kidding about that. I just sold my EB about a year and a half ago. I had easily over $20K into it and at least another $8K to go. They are expensive to build vs a Toyota.  I would love a halfcab but being 6'2" I think it would be a tight squeeze. Looks like you will have a fun project on your hands.

That thing is beautiful! I think you could fit easily. I am about 6' and I got plenty of room. Getting ready to put a 22R, L-52, T-Case in the yoat within' the next couple days...  :willynilly:

Good to hear. If I start looking for another EB in a few years I just might consider a half cab.

Got the motor/tranny/t-case in the yoat. Need to get a crossmember, time the motor, install d-shafts, and get a rear brake line and it should be drivin'.

A couple of my buddies running those broncos but nobody I know has a real half cab.  I have seen folks cut up the top and make half cabs though  :yikes: I will try and get some photos of their trucks.  Love them early broncos!
