Yeaa i bet it would be a pain to pull it all together. My Hoist is hanging about 10-12 feet above the floor, so it would work but im not even going to try. Im about to go out right now and mess with it again, should have it seperated today, thanks again for all the help.

Got the motor pulled out, went good.  One question about the motor mounts, its hard to explain but when i took the nut off of them and lifted the motor out  the metal piece with the stud in it came out with the motor, its probably normal. ILl take some pics tommorow, i just got to thinking about it and if all of that comes off, i dont see how it holds the motor in after its installed back.

That don't sound normal to me. Did you remove the two bolts that hold the bottom of the mounts to the frame? If not those mounts are toast, and need replaced.

I have used a really long extention with wobbly and I've used a flex head ratchet (for getting to the top two bell housing bolts), both with good results.

the two top bellhousing bolts ARE A PAIN!!!!!!!

Remove the cross member
I take off the drive shafts at the flanges.
IMHO it just makes things easier in the long run

support the trans on a tranny jack

use a 1/2 Loooong (20"?) extension bar
Do NOT USE a 3/8 extension bar - it winds up like a torsion bar (which it is)

Remove the shifter console, the rubber shifter boot and the shifters
Stuff a rag in there so ya dont drop a screw in the tranny

use the extension and a helper below to GUIDE the socket onto the bolt (17mm?)
You are going to use the ratchet INSIDE the cab (if the seats are out this is even easier)

Use a 1/2 drive LONG handeled ratchet to bust em loose...
The ratchet is inside the cab and will be braced against the stick shift tower when yer leaning on the handle..
yeah yeah - still IFS...
