Cool!  I always seem to make these trips myself so pics are outa the question, but I do like the quicky "come get my parts today" type of trips better than the planned out ones.

:werd:  those are always the most interesting :yesnod:

You wouldn't love the smell. Everytime we drive from the Bay to LA, which is usually in the summer, we have to close the vents in the car once we have the slaughterhouse in sight. It smells like death there. I wonder why?

This is only 12 miles from my house. Next time, exit west to my crib and we'll indulge in cold beer and mountain oysters from said cattle ranch  :beerchug:  :yumyum:

100k head of cattle? eh, decent sized ranch out here. if you think that trip is boreing, try going through the permian basin in texas and southern new mexico. all you see is cattle, pump jacks, land drilling oil rigs, and the smell of oil is nearly constant out here.

X2 on the beer but pass on the oysters!

I drove I40 from California to Texas.  It had some pretty bad sections, but what makes the I5 so bad is that I've done it several times already.    The boring you've seen many times is much more boring than the boring you're seeing for the first time.
