teh rule of thumb is 4" tire to rim... but when i worked at a tire shop, if we could get the bead to seat it was all good.... i remember mounting 33x12.50s on the stock sr5 15x6 rims on a customers first gen truck....

Think the stock 15X7 wheels would be fine with a 35X12.50R15?

15x7 should be fine. I run 15x8's on my 37" MT/R's. The 15x10's were nice for tire wear (much more even tire wear) but not so good for rock rash on the wheels. I like the 8's because the tire gets a little taller and narrower and the bead is tougher to peel off the rim when aired down. Downside to 8's is tire wear isn't as even.

I've used 15x8's and 15x10's  on the 37" MTRS when I had them. Didn't really notice a different from the two..

Ran both at 5psi and never blew a bead, I guess I liked the looks for the 8" rim a little better  :dunno:

I run 15x10 with my 37" MTRs.  In the snow I run 3-4 PSI and on the rocks I runs 4-5 PSI depending on load.  I have never blown a bead.

kinda funny, in the snow we ran mtr's  at 1-2 pounds with no bead locks, never a problem.  Friend  lost a bfg inner bead with outter beadlocks first time out at 5 psi.

Yeah, MTRs are a bad ass tire. I usualy run BFG muds but i have neve run those under 8 psi. I will most likely get a set of mtrs when it comes time to buy new tires because everyone i know that has them swears by em. Hell I practically swear by em and I have never even owned a set. Riding and wheeling with my MTR buddies was enough proof for me.
