Price check: 76 FJ55
« on: Oct 25, 2006, 09:09:42 PM »
My buddy has a '76 Land Cruiser FJ55 with a damn nice bumper and a 9,000 lbs warn winch.

It's prime gray and has minor scratches...  But he is trying to sell it and I would like to know how much I should tell him to sell it for.

Stock 82 LWB on 33's welded in the rear.  Amazes me!  Been through 4 motors in 2 months though...

Sorry, no camara.

I can explain though.
Stock everything underneath, but it looks pretty clean.  Toyota SAS front and rear.  Got some onroad tires that look like they might do something in the hills.  Brand new master cylinder, the engine runs fine.  No rust, but has minor wheeling straches (in the primer) with no paint.

He says it is a tank that can go anywhere, but he is a newb driver, so I know I can out-wheel him in my Stock Sammy.

Like I said, the bumper is not low class; rather one of those black painted diamond plate...  The bumper is like a stinger without the hoop, more as a skid as well...  The winch is very high class...  Warn 9000lbs....  Outboard lighting in the front; can't remember the name of the lights, but they are pretty cheap, nice ones...

It would be the perfect project rig, not right for a restore, it would just be too.... wrong.

Biggest thing on the price of 55s is the amount of rust and the condition of the interior.  From what you describe, I would say probably $3000-$4000.
