Well I bought my High steer kit a few weeks ago and I finnaly have all the parts to complete the conversion. I am wanderinf where exactly where to mount the Steering box mounts at though? Can someone post some pics so that I can get a good idea before I start the install. Also will I need to do any trimming anywhere to make the new gear box fit?
If you are not running a drop box, there is a good chance you might be in the future. I would advise running your IFS box as far forward as possible right off the bat. Mock up your high steer and IFS box. Check for clearance issues. Move your box forward as far as possible. You may want to stretch your wheelbase in the future. Plating the frame (Marlin Crawler frame plate kit is a cheap but
very wise investment) is a very good idea and is a big PITA to cut off and relocate. Try and get it right the first time. As long as your high steer tie rods clear well, just move your box as far forward as you can. If a little trimming is required, no big deal. Nothing like revamping your suspension to find your PS box is just slightly farther back than it should be.
