It looks like I finally found my first project. I found one for sale that is definately a project the body is pretty beat, but the frame and interior is pretty nice (celica seats with 5 point harnesses) The big downside is that the PO instead of rebuilding the 22RE he swapped in a rebuilt 22R
He left all the mounts and harnesses so a 22RE drop in would be fairly easy. The engine isn't hooked up all the way, it starts but doesnt idle and only runs between 500-600 rpms Because the previous engine was EFI it is flooding the carb and is in need of a pressure fuel regulator (does anyone know how much this part is?) However the upsides are better than the downs it is equipped with a york compressor, sandsden style air conditioner, newer power steering, and a turbo was grafted onto the exhaust. Included in the sale is a top shift transfer case so I can run some duals, and some 4.88 gears. I haven't picked it up yet and am thinking of offering him around $700-$900 does this seem fair?
