how tight will the tires be if my 86 toy ex cab only has a 3" body lift i wanna throw my 35x13.50x15 toyo m/t's on for mud fest give me your    on the idea

It will be very tight, but since the front is an IFS you should clear there since there is zero travel in the 1st place. Ther rears will probably still rub.

they will fit.. but they will rub.. my buddy hans runs 35s on his 87 with a 3" body lift  and snow wheels it..  and he will flex it up as much as it will ( almost to the point of rolling)..  and only slightly rubbing..

you would like the 2 inch body lift and 33's better,  less rub and less chance of breaking you IFS

you could do a 2 inch body and crank your tbars and add a leaf to the rear

As long as the front is not locked or if it is and you are not a hammer-head 35's would be fine. On my 4Runner I had a 2" body lift, Downey's/Rancho's long travel upper A-arms  and the flat bumpstops on 33's. Never ever rubbed, the A-arms add about 1-1/2 inches and add almost another 1/2" for the bumpstops.  To clear those 35's even if you don't get the A-arms get the bumpstops so you can crank the torsion bars in more and not top out on the bumps. The rears you can work with a little more with an add-a-leaf, you may sit a little tail high but when you add camping gear you should sit level.

I ran 34's on completely stock suspention with no body lift for a month or two when I got my first 4runner, and the rear didnt rub because the tires were 10.5's and they tucked under the fender when articulating. Let me just tell you fun it is to be going down the highway, hit a bump and stuff both rear tires on the body. None, thats how much. It was fine for offroading, but on road was a chore. The front was never an issue, I never broke anyhting. I did stuff one of my front tires REALLY hard one rainy night offroad, and nothing broke. After that I realized that I would have to try to break my IFS. I did, and I won.
