7MGE Motor
« on: Oct 25, 2005, 09:08:05 PM »
I have sitting in my garage a freshly rebuilt 7MGE motor that I built for my Supra, but sold before I finished the motor. All that is left is bolt the oil pump, pan and timing belt on and drop in. I have all the injection except the fuel rail I think. I have the coil/ignitor also. There is about $1700 in building it, my Dad wants the most I can get for it back. Is $1000 too much? Would be a great starting point for a swap in a 4Runner or Truck.

I also have the non-turbo 5-spd tranny as well that will go with it or without your choice.

the tranny came out of an 87 or 88 I don't remember i crushed the car after I took everything off I wanted. I think the car had 195,000 not sure though. All supras were efi and I have been told and read that they will bolt up to a 22r bell housing. Not sure what it's worth I paid $125 for the car for the motor to build.

What all went into the rebuild? Head rebuilt? Professional machine shop work on it? Wiring harness, ECU, alternator? All the usual questions  :gap:

The head is completely rebuilt new valves, surfaced, pressure checked and a mild port job was done. There is over $800 in the head and corteco formerly detroit gasket set. The block was surfaced, cylinders were honed and the mains were align honed as well. The crank was polished and didn't need to be ground. I don't think I have the ecu, but can get 1 in a day or so, my buddy I think still has it. I don't have the harness. I will look in the garage and at my Dad's shop and see what is there and not. Terrill's in Chico did the head and his brother did all the block work at Nor Cal Machine I think was the name before he moved to Idaho.

they will bolt to a w series tranny with the right bellhousing....the bell needs to be off a manual supra.
That's how I roll

the supra tranny is a w58... it will bolt to a wseries in the trucks that used a wseries behind a 22r if you put the bellhousing from the 22r equipped rig onto the supra tranny... the supra has the starter on the drivers side as opposed to the pass side like the trucks
