Mine has been christened Black Betty, after the Spiderbait song (originally done by Ram Jam) of the same name:
Very cool song, Alyssa, but it's roots go back way further then Ram Jam...

Black Betty by Leadbelly (1939)

http://www.secondhandsongs.com/song/4618.html

And the name of our Jeep came about when MrW found a plaque on the floor of the shop for one of the ice machines they work on. The plaque read: "Mammoth" .

MrW called me up and said "I have the perfect name for the Jeep... and so the Willy Mammoth was born.."

I think names need to come by chance, you can't overthink it, something just sparks one day and WAH-LAH...

~and if you ask me why I'll say, cause Oscar Mayer has a way, with b-o-l-o-g-n-a~

Back in the day when I first got my truck I had a 3-4 inch long goatee.  Back then my friends daughters were still young and sweet, and whenever they saw my truck they'd call it goat man.  So I guess "goat man".

Naming a vehicle went out with big hair and iroc z camaros.

:snare:  what's wrong with big hair??  And what's wrong with iroc-zs?  I'm gonna get me an iroc, grow a sweet mullet and move to a trailer park........

I don't know if I've heard the latest cover, and don't think I've heard the original, but I do love Ram Jam's version.

There are so many very cool songs that are covers of really old artists. We'll listen to the XM radio blues station and you hear all these songs and it's like WOW, I never knew!

But Black Betty is a cool name for a truck too.

:headscratch: I googled Charlie Wenzel and actually came up with some sort of Wikipedia article, but I don't feel like reading it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Charlie_Wenzel

What is a Charlie Wenzel episode?

And hey :therethere: Alyssa, us 4x4 sisters have to stick together, we are far and few between. These guys just like to cause dissention amongst us in hopes of a good hair pulling shirt ripping cat fight, but what they don't know is, being the 4x4 sisters we are, we're above all  that   :nana:

:psss:   we're waiting for a good mudhole to romp in!  :beerchug:

Charlie Wenzel thread from Pirate.  It is 73 pages of some funny chit.   :yikes:  :haha:  In short is all about a Pirate board member who got shafted on some parts from a young guy who really got owned in the thread.  It would take a couple hours to read it all.
