OK, He is now in Chowchilla, which is about 40 mins North of Fresno.

He has used two quarts from Stockton, but is doing fine right now.... Looks like that ol' engine is almost home

We will have a funeral for it tomorrow as I remove it from the truck indefinitely.

You're gonna have to dip that truck in super clean before you work on it. It's going to be dripping oil from everywhere for days.

My mother just told me that Marlin is on the out skirts of Fresno, but there is road construction, and he is at a complete stop, and smoke is just poring out of his hood.

He should be home very soon though, way to go Marlin!

If he gets pulled over for the smoke, have him tell them he is West Nile Mosquito Fogger.

Yup, I went to bed, but he made it home around 11:30pm. And actually, he is still sleeping right now which is great for him!

Made it home under its own power about 11:15 pm.
Used 5 quarts of oil and ran in 4th gear at 2900 rpm. [Used less oil]

Other than oil under the truck on the passenger side, it limped home just fine. :driving:
The engine had been pinging for about the last 2000 miles, and even with 92 octane fuel, it still would not go completely away.

This is a true testament to the power of the BBS and once again a big thanks to everone for their concern and comments  . And thanks also to Big Mike for making all this BBS possible.

Glad to hear you made it home OK Marlin, engine trouble on a long trip is no fun (been their done that).  There is a lot to be said for what you and a Toyota can do.

It is this type of determination to make the impossible happen that has brought this sport where it is.  Marlin... you just cant say enough about his attitude of pushing the sport and these trucks to a new level.  THree cheers to marlin and his gross polluting, oil spilling, 3 cylinder truck...Cant wait to see him behind the wheel of the 2.7
