If all the goods are there, and it's cheap enough, I would just buy it anyway. Best case, if it's not too bent you can find someone who can throw it on a lathe and do some magic with an OA torch to warp it back into shape. Worst case, you can strip it for parts/spares and look for an empty housing somewhere. Someone has got to have a spare housing they pulled the shafts & birfs from...

I meant a housing not a whole nother axle. A stripped housing should cost no more than $50...

If you can figure out how it is bent and the bend isn't too severe, you could weld a truss along the outer radius of the bend.  That would shrink that side and possibly bring it back to a better semblance of straight.  Do this while you have a third installed and check preiodically while welding the truss with the axle shafts to see if it is moving in the right directions.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

10 ton bottle jack and a chain has fixed to many axles to count in the Izzy shop. only one I could not get straight enough for trail use was a d60 that had a snow plow on it for 30 some years. probly some jumping too.

You would be better to get one that is straight to start with, but if you already had it installed you could try to bend it back with the bottle jack and chains.

This would take a good eye to see where it is bent and some know how to know how to set it up properly so you don't bend it in the wrong place making it worse.

If it is cheap enough you could get it for parts, but it would have to be really cheap.

You could check with a frame/alignment shop and see what they think.

Having been in the body shop business, I know what they will say.  :slap: You have to replace it.  :smack: That is a DIY kind of job or you will bump heads every where you go.  :rivers:

Hey dune_it86 where do ya hail from in oregon?  I'm from Tillamook!  Most of the straight axles I see are basically anchor weights by the time the owners get rid of them!  Bent, rusted out, or just garbage!
