Dunlop Mud rovers???
« on: Jun 07, 2005, 10:02:30 AM »
Anyone heard or know anything about them??
As far as MTs go??

I've pretty much decided on my tires, but I found these priced at about 125 for a 35" tire.  :dunno:  sounds like a good deal, but a lot of what I can tell is that you get what you pay for, and its probably wirht the extra $40 to get BFG MTs

never heard anything bad about them.  And they do have a pretty classic mt tread design.

These are pretty cool for MT's.  They are sponsoring a team now too.  Looks like about $190.00 a tire though.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I've pretty much decided on the BFG MTs, but I saw these when I was pricing tires, and sincwe these were 30-50 dollars cheaper, figured I'd see what people knew about them

I've had a few sets of mud rovers and they worked good. I ran a set of 35x12.50's the last time I went to Tellico and they gripped great on rocks. They worked about as good as any other radial M/T in the mud (they're not a TSL) . The BFG's have a better sidewall but I never cut one of the rovers. Overall I would say they are a great tire for the price. It just all depends on how much you want to spend.

IO have 33" rovers on my truck.  They work fine.  I'm sure there are better tires out there, but if you're on a budget or just want to save a buck you could do alot worse.  A buddy of mine has Firestone Destination M/T's and he is very pleased with them.  I think there are size limitations however.
