22R Rebuild
« on: May 04, 2016, 05:07:56 PM »
Guys- the 22R in my 84 is getting a bit tired. Starting to use too much oil but still runs great and reliable etc but weak up hill these days. So I thought perhaps there's someone that sells good rebuilt 22Rs . I've heard there are some to stay away from. So, anyone have any good leads/advice on this?

I would try to find a local engine maker in your country. 22re performance is the best around here though. but I was thinking just in case you have any issues, you would be able to address them quicker and most likely get them resolved faster

I agree, my last 22re I built, has only 16,000 miles on it, I just pulled it to swap a 3rz, the addiction never ends  :hammerhead:

Ovrarok- thanks. I'll check those guys out. California is not too far from me. I drive down to the SW every winter just about.
