Looking for an operational idle air control valve.  Going into my 87 4runner w/ 22re.

This. It is very easy to take the throttle body off and clean it and the IAC both thoroughly. Makes a huge difference in how your truck drives as well it will 90% of the time fix any idle issues your IAC is causing you. Do make sure to take off your TPS before putting any harsh chemicals through your throttle body as it will ruin it if you don't.

Awesome, thanks for the advice.  I'll take the throttle body and Valve off this weekend hopefully and give it a good cleaning.

Would you recommend using a carb cleaner/throttle body solvent or start with something more wild and toothbrush approach?
