I have RS44044 leaf springs on my 90 4runner solid front, they work just fine.

Just figured I'd ask cause I never came across thus kinda setup when I was in California. I guess it just doesn't really feel as if it's done right.

Its actually pretty common, even here in Ca.. The only Jeep springs Ive heard of used on toyotas are what was mentioned already, wagoneer springs or lifted wagoneer springs (rancho 44044). My 84 has 44044's on it now from the previous owner.

It was done a lot 15 years ago on the stock length springs. RUF and other longer springs with a relocated front spring hanger is now the norm. The Ranchos are good fairly flat springs with the nylon buttons to reduce friction and are helpful in custom packs.

A spring is a spring, if it does what you want it to do, use it.

The 2nd gear in my r150f tranny is a Jeep gear out of a AX15 tranny, basically the same tranny.

Like said in the previous posts.... 44044s were a very popular spring to run in the early 2000's. Springs are springs though. Do yours ride smooth? How do they articulate? Thats about the only questions you have to answer.. I have a mix and match set on mine right now. Marlin 4in, 44044s, and even factory Toy springs.. It just happens to work out for my needs.

Ahhh however the AX15 found in a Jeep is not a Jeep product :sly:
