If ya have to have at least a lip, like a jeep, why don't ya just go and get some 4" or 6" angle iron and cut it to fit inside against the door frame and bolt it in place or a set of quick release pins to the floor boards! :smack:
That way ya still have a lip to catch things!  It should only take an hour or so if ya know what your doing.  And maybe drill some holes at the top to zip ty some pipe foam to keep from banging your ankles, we all know how that feels!! :shocking:  :shocking:  :shocking:  :shocking:

Do it right, you could mount them permanently, and still be able to put your doors on without any interference!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

here was my solution, actually isn't a lip but it looks like it and it gave me a spot on the inside for a 6x9 speaker

Here on the east side of Washington the staters are kinda picky.  I have been warned a few times about no doors on my truck while on the freeway.  But on the west side I never have had any trouble.  Just depends how bored the cops are.

I drive a 94 4-runner with No Doors at all and a chopped off top :gap:
Cops here in Kentucky just think I'm a normal hillbilly :hammerhead:
I started with the no door thing about 3 years ago.
Last year I saw a 2wheel drive ford ranger rollin around with no doors.
If you want a set of quality quick release door hinges check out a guy named Tankota.com
Good Luck
Roll me back over !!!
