Topic: So the CHP took my truck from me

Actuall it is just for a couple hours while they "Research" my vins and restamp everyting.
But then techinacly it is a brand new truck

Frame swap.
So now it should be a special construction if they do it. They told me it would be a while and i should get a ride home so here I am
If all goes well come the first of the yeah I will try to get one of the 200 smog exemp special constructions offered by the DMV.
if not i cant register if for the road and will have to green sticker it

It sucks they took your truck but its probably worth the couple hours they will have it to possible get smog exempt.

Well I got it back. It took about 3 hours and I am not as happy a could of been.
They got everyting restamped so that is good now I can register it.
So now my 1994 is a 1984 but it is not smog exempt
Now I have to get it refered for the 3.0 ( me ---> <--- 3.0 )which is kinda gay because I am looking to get rid of it and replace with a 3.4 or 4.3  So I will have to get it refed again. the only ok thing about that is there is a referee at my school and we are kinda friends but he still cant cut me any slack.

but at least I got my truck and it is legal now

Can't cut ya slack but at least he can help ya out and get you pointed in the right direction if there is problems.

you have to smog it anyway, and generally the ref. is cheaper than any other smog shop so no big deal..

Yeah it is really not that big of a deal.I just really wanted to have that smog exempt so some where down the road I could do what ever I wanted and not have to deal with any thing. I have all of the stuff and it is all set up good so it wont be a problem.

But at least I got my truck
