new to marlin ,and a good toyota build story
« on: Nov 20, 2012, 08:23:37 PM »
 hi there , im new to marlin but an old guy to wheelin.  currently building a 1985 toyota sr5 4x4 single cab pickup . So heres the story on my truck . my uncle john bought the truck off the showroom in 1985,he used it to install 2 way radio repeaters on the local mountain tops for many years.along with camping, fishing, and partying with his buddies in the river bottoms. sold the truck to my dad and he rolled it doing a reverse star skying hutch turn around. so we choped the top welded a new one on ,new doors, windows, and fenders, so truck past down to my self and drove to highschool. after highschool had sat in the driveway for ten years due to neglect. so now my unlce and i decide to rebuild the truck and we pulled the motor. during a fishing trip a few weeks ago at lake huntington twin lakes my uncle passed away in his sleep in his tent on our first night camping .from a heart failure. im now dedicating this build to my uncle john . sorry for the long story but wanted to let people know how much this old yota means to me. thanks and will have pics up soon.
