Yota fanatic in central Wisconsin
« on: Oct 28, 2012, 07:24:21 AM »
Just checking in as a new member to Marlin's site. Lots of knowledge here! I have been tinkering, on an off, with yotas for 25 years. Here's what I have:

-  1980 4x4 longbed p.u. (all original except wheels/tires)
-  1988 4x4 Xtra cab. [build up done in 1994]( 3.5" Rancho IFS lift, 3"body lift, Downey HD torsion bars, Downey limited slip front IFS diff., ARB rear locker, 5.29 gears, 15x35x15 Swamper TSXL on 15x10 alum. wheels, 22re with many Downey upgrades including header.)
-  1986 4x4 4runner project (waiting to be built.)
-  1987 4x4 p.u. (parts doner rig)

My plans are to build my ultimate 4runner trail rig to hopefully fulfill my lifelong dream; to wheel the Rubicon. Plans include:

-3rz conversion.
-Marlin Crawler R151f with dual transfers.
-s.a.s with IFS hub conversion and hysteer.
-still unsure about suspension but leaning towards custom 3link.
-ARB locked high pinions front and rear with 5.29 gears.
-rear Toyota disc brake conversion with front and rear line locks.
-38x12.50 IROKs on 15x8 standard steel beadlocks.
-transfer e-brake kit.
-on board air system.

Just to name a few things...

Glad to be here and hope to learn alot. Cheers!
