85 ifs box issues please help
« on: Apr 02, 2012, 10:50:48 AM »
so i did the ifs box on my 85 truck
everything is mounted but now my low pressure powersteeing line (hard line) doesnt want to fit rite
if i manipulate the line and get it the fitting to sit rite and screw in, the U part of the line drops off and down the inside of the frame and hits/sits on the bolts that holds the steering box on

im wondering what we did wrong, my buddy says we should cut the line and re-fit/re-flare the line at another point to clear this problem

Why not just bend it?

You could cut all the line you don't need and flare it out for a clean good job.

Or do like 99% of us and bend it a bit until it fits right.
