Happy Thanksgiving
« on: Nov 24, 2011, 07:49:38 AM »
Today isn't about will Detroit actually be in a game for the first time in decades. It's not about the bounty on our tables.
Enjoy the time with your family and give thanks for them. Take a, long, moment to pray for family members in service abroad and give thanks for the freedoms they uphold. Take a look at that set up on your table...even the poorest among us are among the world's best fed and housed.

Take a moment, step back from the hustle and bustle...just stand back, look around and give thanks.

God has blessed America...let's live up to it.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first.

I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.

I agree.  I may have been bitching about my new hours at work alot lately, but I still have a job right now.  So, I'm thankful for that.  And my family and friends.

With all due respect to Mr. Franklin...I want for the Turkey to be neither our national symbol nor on my table. I like it's skin...but for fowl, I prefer duck, goose or pheasant. In all instances...I prefer a ham to a turkey.
