LTB Higher end Torque wrench
« on: Nov 04, 2011, 09:33:48 AM »
My torque wrench broke on me the other day while I was setting up a 3rd.  I really need a higher end one I can count on.
I prefer Snap on, Mac or CDI.   Looking for one that does 0-200 ft pounds and can be 3/8 or 1/2".  I am pretty broke these days but this is one tool I really have to have.

Unfortunately, the only way you can trust a used torque wrench would be to send it out and have it calibrated. Simply for your own peace of mind that it is accurate. But that will cost too. You might consider a new one if at all possible.  :beerchug:

True tom   If I get a good quality used one I will test it against my buddies digital snap on wrench.  So I will know if its right on or how close it is.
I wish I could afford a new one but 300-400 is rather tough right now.

That should be a fair comparison. Maybe even used a fish scale on each of the torque wrench handles at a specified setting to see how close they are. 8)

I have to needle torque wrenches which I use just in case.
I really just want a high quality wrench I can count on for years to come.
Maybe I can find something to sell to buy yours.
